DAY 8 - NOVAFELTRIA to SANT'AGATA FELTRIA - 28 April 2026

There was ample time for our buffet breakfast this morning because we only had a short distance to walk today. We rejoined the well-marked Cammino di San Francesco and wandered along beside the river, taking photos of anything of interest.

We had a chat with a signora who gave us a bunch of rosemary from her garden. After that, the path headed up... and up... and up. A great opportunity to take more flower photos and to admire the amazing views!

Eventually the trail flattened out and we arrived at a little hamlet called Botticella hoping for a bar. Alas, we had to make do with a scenic sit down in a bus stop instead.

Luckily it was all downhill from there with a beautiful entry into Sant'Agata Feltria. There were so many surprises awaiting us there, including the oldest wooden theatre in Italy (with a very enthusiastic guide), a fairy tale castle and delicious pizza for dinner!
